IAPI encourages the scientific illustration of flowering and non-flowering plants and communication of the diversity and intricacy of plant structures not necessarily visible to the naked eye.
IAPI’s illustration projects seek to clarify identification features, compare and contrast structure and function and record sequences of growth and development.
IAPI encourages collaboration between botanists and illustrators and encourages members to develop their skills in scientific illustration and increase their botanical knowledge.
